The Dallas Bears is a community based organization that is committed to benevolent and charitable services, fundraisers and support for other non-profit organizations in the Greater Dallas Community.  As a membership organization, we strengthen our bond and resources by promoting social activities for our members.  Our social activities are open to all men that share in our common goal of serving our community, having fun, participating in fellowships and nuturing lasting friendships.

TBRU XV: A Great Success

Thank you to our guests and members for making "TBRU XV - Pantheon:  Party with the gods!" a huge success.  We had a record number of 1,277 registered attendees.  The events and fun seemed to be shared by many.

Our new dinner and activities venue, 300 Club Dallas, was a smashing hit!

We are completing our financials and moving towards knowing what our donations will be to our charities.  Keep looking for more announcements soon.

May Membership Meeting

As it happens each year after TBRU our Dallas Bears fiscal year begins to come to an end.  Our year closes in June and we renew our memberships and start anew in July.  We have lots of things on the hroizon.  In May we will complete our Board of Directors nominations, make nominations for the Randy Franklin Memorial "I Care" Award, and announce our June Anniversary Dinner Celebration details.  I invite all of our members to join us on Saturday, May 8th at 12 noon for our May Membership Meeting.  We meet at the Youth First Texas Center located on Harry Hine

Investiture XXXV

Several members of the Dallas Bears were on-hand to participate in the United Court of the Lone Star Empire Investiture XXXV - Where Green Acres meets Peticoat Junction Saturday night.

Over $33,000 was raised by the outgoing Reign XXXIV for their charities - including some of the present and past Dallas Bears charities.

We've been live now for a bit over 2.5 days so I thought I'd give you some fun facts on how we're doing.

Bears on the Run

The 2009-2010 fundraising season has begun and the Bears are on the "run," the Texas Bear Round Up, that is.

Financial planning is a necessity to host such a large and successful event.  TBRU15 planning is in high gear and donations and sponsorships are key.

The Dallas Bears is proud to announce our second annual Turn-About Show benefitting the charities of the Dallas Bears:  Youth First Texas, AIDS Interfaith Network, and Legacy Founder's Cottage.

The Time Has Come!

It’s that time again... Time to start up the Texas Bear Round-Up (TBRU) planning process. Soon, we will hold our first TBRU 15 Planning and Brainstorming session. Keep an eye out for the announcement of time and place we will meet. At our August Membership meeting the membership nominated 6 worthy beneficiaries for TBRU 15. In September we will listen to a presentation from each charity and then place our votes for the three beneficiaries for TRBU 15. The time has come, let the excitement begin!

The bell has sounded and the gates have flung open as we start off our new club year. We have so many projects and activities happening. Our Social Team has some great events planned for September/October along with our participation in the Dallas Pride Parade. Our Historical Project is beginning to take flight as well. If you have any pictures, memorabilia or information on the Dallas Bears, our events, Texas Bear Round-Up, etc… we are collecting those items now. Contact Chip and he will be happy to receive those items. We have had great Membership meetings.

On July 18th the Dallas Bears held their first meetings of the new Dallas Bears year. Our officers and appointees were all presented and ratified by the Membership. We had a few laughs hearing what flavor of donut you'd be and we had a lot of awesome business items to go over.

Dallas Bears & TBRU Give Back

In March of 2009, over one thousand men descended upon Dallas, TX for the Texas Bear Round-Up 14: "Men At Work."  TBRU 14 was a rousing success with the largest attendance ever recorded by the Dallas Bears, who produce the event.  Even in these tough global economic times the Dallas Bears, friends, partners and attendees were able to raise much needed money for our three local charities: Youth First Texas, AIDS Interfaith Network and AIDS Services of Dallas.
